Additional Information

The aim of the Program is to promote entrepreneurship among young people and migrants residing in the municipality of Chisinau by facilitating the launch and development of sustainable businesses and encouraging job creation.

Eligible categories of beneficiaries:

  • Young aspiring entrepreneurs, aged between 18 and 40, with permanent or temporary residence in the municipality of Chisinau, who either (i) own a small or medium-sized enterprise (SME) registered in Chisinau for no longer than 24 months, where the eligible founder holds a minimum equity stake of 75%, or (ii) intend to establish an enterprise in Chisinau under the same ownership conditions;
  • Migrant workers — individuals who have previously worked or are currently working abroad — or recipients of remittances (spouses or first-degree relatives), with residence in the municipality of Chisinau, who intend to launch a business or already own an enterprise registered in Chisinau for no longer than 24 months;
  • Refugees residing in the municipality of Chisinau, who (i) wish to start a business or (ii) already own a small or medium-sized enterprise registered in Chisinau for no longer than 24 months.

Priority areas of the program:

  • Businesses engaged in manufacturing or the provision of services;
  • Enterprises incorporating innovative activities or seeking to implement technology transfer and know-how projects;
  • Initiatives focused on the development of the following strategic sectors: information and communication technologies (ICT); e-commerce; electromechanics; agri-food industry and HoReCa; light industry; creative industries; tourism; health and wellness; professional, scientific, or technical services; energy efficiency; and agriculture, among others.

Please note: Selection of beneficiaries will be carried out through a competitive process, based on alignment with the Program’s priority areas and subject to the availability of budgetary resources.
